Privacy

This page describes the site as it exists today, including the plate planner and the Illumina index collision checker. The Cell Ranger FASTQ filename renamer is planned as a downloadable and is not yet available to run.

What we collect now

If you join a waitlist, we collect the email address you submit, the tool you asked about, the page path, and any advertising attribution parameters already on the visit (for example utm_campaign). We use that only to tell you when the tool is available and to understand which listing brought you here.

If you email us, we keep the correspondence needed to reply.

Analytics

We use privacy-oriented page analytics (page views and named funnel events such as landing views and waitlist submissions). First-party counts of those same named events are stored so we can operate the site; they are visible only on a private operator console. We do not collect scientific file contents, sample identifiers, or other research payloads for analytics. We do not run a third-party ad pixel until a paid campaign is actually running.

What we do not collect

We do not want patient-identifiable information or PHI. Do not upload or email it. The initial product set is designed to avoid a healthcare-compliance burden we cannot support.

Scientific files

The plate planner and the index collision checker parse CSV and XLSX files in your browser. Sample tables and index lists are not uploaded to Copper Scientific servers. The planned Cell Ranger FASTQ renamer will run on your machine and will read filenames only — sequence files will not be opened or uploaded. Future tools that do process files on a server will say so before you submit, and those files will be temporary working objects deleted after the job.

Retention and contact

Waitlist addresses are kept until you ask to be removed or the notice has been sent and a reasonable follow-up window has passed. Email hello@copperscientific.com to access, correct, or delete your waitlist entry.
